weeks 2, 3 & 4

Sorry for the lack of recent posts, we've been away on holidays for a couple of weeks on a house boat and visiting my old stomping ground in Mildura.

Meanwhile back at home this happened...

a MASSIVE east coast low (followed by a second 2 weeks later)...

For those of you who don't recognise this, it is our local wharf, slipway and surrounding car park.

and this is the fishing platforms, car park and one of the main roads.

nearly 8 inches of rain over one weekend made for a very wet Mallacoota.

Jason helping to clean up the aftermath.

Unfortunately for us this also meant a flooded excavation site :( Oh the joys of building a house in winter. Luckily the excavator put in some good drains but unluckily all the under-slab trenches were still open and quickly filled with water.

A week down the track and finally it is starting to dry out. We now have the sewage connected and the power box in.

Even if we did finish it off in the dark.
Hoping to see the concreters mid next week to start boxing up the slab. Then I'm praying for full steam ahead - frames up and roof on!
